I spend a lot of time online not only for work, but for fun. Since I manage multiple social networks, I am always on the lookout for new information I can share with our readers and fun, well-written articles that are worthy of passing along. What’s New in the Writing World
First off, this little cartoon, which is now my new mantra. I need motivation like this to succeed. So now I just picture a guy holding a gun to my head so I’ll finish the tasks I begin. Keeping that in mind, here is a roundup of interesting posts I found this week.
This looked like and interesting approach to writing an outline. I’m not familiar with the “6-act” outline (I’m more familiar with the traditional 5-act approach) but you may find it of use.

This is the first time I’ve seen the Vampire book club but ironically, it was a novel about werewolves that brought me too it. I’m guessing they are cool with anything supernatural.

The Great Outdoors
If you’re in Arizona, this is one of my old haunts and where I learned how to compete in 3-d archery shoots (I even have a few trophies to prove it!). If you live nearby or are just visiting, check out Usery Pass wilderness area and their upcoming events for January. It’s a beautiful area and if you like to shoot (archery or firearms), you’ll love their outdoor range.

The World of Animals
The Bark magazine is requesting some assistance from those who have dogs. This shelter needs you to take 15-20 minutes and complete a survey on leadership in animal sheltering organizations.

- Are you a current or former animal shelter director, current or former animal shelter employee or volunteer or have you adopted an animal from an animal sheltering organization?
If you answered YES to these questions, you may be eligible to participate in an online survey on animal sheltering research study. You may also consent to take part in an in-depth interview beyond the survey if you so decide.

The survey will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. No names or organizational names are requested unless you wish to be contacted for an individual telephone or internet interview. The purpose of this research study is to examine leadership in animal sheltering organizations and the impact on policies in the sheltering organizations.

Haha! People like us don’t need a gun held to our heads. Besides, guns pointed in my general direction usually make me pee my pants. Not helpful when trying to finish a book chapter.
