Her collected works are vast and her award-winning stories and articles can be seen in many publications, including Cat Fancy (now Catster), Pet Age, Be Noticed, and Pacific Yachting. Much of her work has been translated into several languages and reaches international audiences.
Stacy has a B.A. in English, a post-baccalaureate in Secondary Education from Arizona State University, and an MBA with an emphasis on Marketing from the University of Phoenix.
As a pet product adviser and animal lifestyle consultant, Stacy is a leading authority in the pet industry and has built a solid reputation by providing informative articles to animal lovers worldwide. She has taken this knowledge into the business world where she acts as a consultant to corporations who are seeking out ways to develop the best new products, and works closely with corporations to help bring awareness to high-quality, cost-effective and “pet-approved” products and services.
She is an avid campaigner for no-kill animal shelters and legislation that protects wildlife both nationally and internationally, as well as being a strong advocate of Trap, Neuter and Release (TNR) programs.
Stacy is a product review board member of the National Canine Cancer Foundation and is often the final approval for companies seeking their Seal of Approval and Seal of Excellence.
She currently resides in the deserts of the Southwest with several cats, a few dogs, and a very understanding husband.
I’ve been telling stories since I could talk. It’s rare that I can look at anything or anyone without viewing them as a character and asking myself how I can use some type of personality quirk in a future story…
I love spinning a story that people can relate to; creating a character that people will care about, and placing these people into impossible situations. For this reason, I am a horrible plotter – it stifles me. If I can’t see how a character reacts when presented with a challenge, there’s no point in creating that character. The drawback to this process is that I am an incredibly slow writer, so please bear with me as I struggle to build these worlds.
